Work Experience
Access the brightest undergraduate and postgraduate students for innovative approaches and cost-effective solutions to business issues. At the same time promote your business or organisation to the University campus.
UOW's Employment Experience Program allows students to integrate and apply their university knowledge in an industry context, while assisting businesses with critical projects and potential recruitment opportunities.
Work experience is voluntary (unpaid), and usually takes place for up to 12 weeks – continuous or intermittent.
Advertise on the UOW JobBoard or contact Careers Central.
Workplace Learning
Benefit from having passionate students learning from your business methodology while helping to achieve your business goals through a structured Workplace Learning program.
Voluntary Work
UOW's motivated students enjoy giving back to the community, and often volunteer for conservation and development projects, and as camp counsellors, committee and board members and research assistants. Advertise on the UOW JobBoard or contact Careers Central.
Student Teams
Teams of UOW students are available to help solve complex issues, complete important projects and further develop your business.
We can provide your business with a team of talented and motivated students to help resolve a genuine business issue. Your team will work offsite to research the issue and create innovative solutions, then prepare a presentation and business report. The students receive support and guidance from UOW's leading academics.

Centre for Student Engagement (CSE)
The Centre for Student Engagement (CSE) is a service provided by Wollongong UniCentre, which provides students at UOW the opportunity to connect with each other, the campus and the wider community through leadership, community outreach and volunteering programs. Organisations from the community have the opportunity to partner with the CSE to access students who wish to take advantage of community volunteering opportunities. These students are participating in one of a number of initiatives, such as the Community Impact Team and the UniCrew program. All organisations are encouraged to contact CSE to discuss their needs.
