UOW has international standing in the research community particularly in the areas of superconductors, intelligent polymers, steel processing and products, microwave technology, biomedical research, medical radiation physics and environmental research. The Dubai Campus in the United Arab Emirates was established in 1993 - where more than 3000 students representing more than 40 nationalities study for undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.
