Offshore education
Not only is UOW known for its programs at its Dubai campus, it also delivers tertiary education in many other countries throughout Asia.
The University's corporate arm, Illawarra Technology Corporation (ITC) through its international arm ITC World, has developed a strong development profile, particularly in Asia. It is involved in operations in a number of countries, including China, Iran, Lebanon, Qatar, Syria, and United Arab Emirates.
International Linkages
The University has student exchange agreements with more than 100 international institutions across several continents, the University encourages its students to enrich their UOW experience with overseas study. At home, international students from some 70 countries comprise more than 30 per cent of the UOW student population. The incoming students include students undertaking one or two semesters of study at UOW as Study Abroad or Exchange students and through the Study Abroad program, they can transfer UOW credits to their degree in their home country.
The University's private arm, Wollongong College Australia, offers university preparation programs for both Australian and international students. UOW Graduates join a worldwide community of alumni, providing professional and social benefit.
Offshore Teaching Programs
UOW is renowned for its programs on our Dubai campus, but we also deliver tertiary education in Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia. Our partnerships with the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, AusAID and OECD are critical in delivering these programs.
