UNVIVERSITY OF WOLLONGONG UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS
Amount: $12,000 to $20,000 over the minimum duration of the undergraduate degree ($4,000 per year)
Number available: Three
Selection criteria:
- Outstanding academic achievement based on most recent academic records
- Motivation and interests, particularly in relation to nominated career path Communication and interpersonal skills
- Evidence of leadership and participation in other areas, e.g. sports, the arts, employment, school and community activities
- A minimum UAI of 95

Undergraduate Cadetships/Traineeships
BRADKEN MATERIALS ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP
Amount: $11,000 up to four years (values will be indexed each year)
Number available: At least one
Selection criteria:
- Must enrol full-time in Materials Engineering
- Must achieve and maintain a credit average
- Must be available to do work experience over summer breaks
ENGINEERING FIRST-YEAR SCHOLARSHIP
Amount: $1,000 for one year
Number available: Unlimited
Selection criteria:
- Must enrol in a degree or double degree offered by the Faculty of Engineering (Civil, Environmental, Materials, Mechanical, Mechatronic or Mining Engineering; or Physics, Medical Radiation Physics or Photonics)
- Achieve a UAI of 85 or above
This scholarship is awarded by the Faculty of Engineering to all students who satisfy the criteria and have submitted a scholarship application.
ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP FOR ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT
Amount: $3,000 for one year
Number available: Maximum of 30
Selection criteria:
- Strong academic record and interview
- Must enrol in a full-time degree or double degree offered by the Faculty of Engineering (Civil, Environmental, Materials, Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Mining Engineering; or Physics, Medical Radiation Physics or Photonics).
ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP FOR ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE
Amount: $6,000 ($3,000 annually over two years) plus guaranteed paid employment by the University or an industry partner during each summer vacation.
Number available: 10
Selection criteria:
- Must enrol in a full-time degree or double degree offered by the Faculty of Engineering (Civil, Environmental, Materials, Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Mining Engineering; or Physics, Medical Radiation Physics or Photonics)
- Achieve a UAI of 93 or above
- Strong academic record and interview
IRON & STEEL SOCIETY TRAVEL SCHOLARSHIP
Amount: $3000 for one year
Number available: Three
Selection criteria:
- Students enrolled full time in a Bachelor of Engineering (Materials Engineering) or a double degree which includes Materials Engineering may apply for this scholarship at the end of their second year. Other scholarships available for new and continuing students include:
- National Association of Women in Construction Community Scholarship for Civil Engineering
- Xstrata Coal Scholarship for Mining Engineering
- Seedsman Geotechnics Scholarship for Mining Engineering
- Howard Worner Memorial Scholarship for Science and Engineering
