What
is the Engineering Scholars Program?
The Engineering Scholars Program is open to students
who have gained University entry with a UAI above 93
(or equivalent). If you did not achieve 93+ UAI you
may still enter the Scholars Program by achieving a
WAM (Weighted Average Mark) of 75+ over two full sessions
of study.
Benefits
to Students
Scholars Program students will be able to undertake
individual programs of study after personal consultation
with the Scholars Program Coordinator (the Sub-Dean
of Engineering). Such benefits may include:
- certified
recognition of enrolment in the Scholars
Program;
- opportunity to finish a 4-year degree in
3.5 years, or a 5 year double degree in 4 years;
- access
to a wider range of electives;
- involvement in
Faculty Research Activities by replacing certain
core or elective subjects with
special
engineering project subjects. Students would
work on
a research project in an area of interest to them, and under the
guidance of a
research supervisor from one of the Faculty Research Centres, Groups
or Institutes laboratories and tutorials as
a group;
- opportunities for involvement in research
activities; and
- additional subjects:
