Mission Statement |
| Establish and maintain a world class cooperative research team in superconducting & electronic materials science and technology, and to stimulate the technological and commercial development of the Australian industry in this field. |

| ISEM will carry out this mission by: |
| Establishing interdisciplinary research team for conducting high quality basic/generic research; Maintaining an awareness of emerging science and technology in this field from around the world; Promoting the commercialisation of superconducting & electronic materials technology to sponsoring companies; Enhancing the existing strong, national and international links in the field; and Contributing to the education of high quality postgraduates and postdoctoral fellows |
