2002 ARC and DETYA Funding

In the 2002 ARC funding round ISEM was successful in obtaining 9 various grants ($2.24 million) and a Systemic Infrastructure Initiative Grant (SII) ($1.48 million), a total of $3.72 million. This represents 28% of total ARC, NHMRC and SII funding of $13.2 million obtained by the University of Wollongong in the 2002 round. ISEM received 2 ARC Discovery Project Grants (22% successful), 2 ARC Fellowships (67% successful), 4 Linkage Project Grants (100% successful), 2 ARC International Linkage Project Grants and 1 International Fellowship (100% successful). All three of the successful International Linkage Project Grants at UoW were from our institute. Our SII grant is the only one received by UoW and one of only 22 successful grants Australia wide.
