The aim of the Centre of Engineering Mechanics is to carry out research in computational and experimental mechanics, metal forming, biomechanics, structures, thermo-fluids and engineering systems. A feature of the Centre is the concentration of research interests across the disciplines of Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering, which provides a regular forum for discussion and exchange of information and collaborative research among staff and research students.
