About this Project

This page was established in October 2005 by third year physics students from the University of Wollongong as part of the requirements for the subject PHYS375 - Nuclear Physics.

The purpose of this page is to provide factual information on the use of nuclear fission reactors for electricity production, and not to present opinion. If you believe that this objective has not been met then please email the lecturer, George Takacs. Do likewise if you think relevant information is missing, or if you have any other constructive criticisms.

The material on these pages should not be construed in any way as implying that any of the students, or the lecturer supports or rejects the use of nuclear power. We do hope that the information provided is useful to you in forming you own opinion on this matter.

For further information please read our site disclaimer.
