Metallic Glasses for Structural Applications

This new collaboration between researchers in materials and structural engineering aims to explore the use of novel materials in construction applications. An honours thesis student has begun experiments on the mechanical properties of metallic glass ribbons that will potentially be used as fibre reinforcement in concrete.
