Resources for School Teachers and Students

Materials Science is an important part of the NSW HSC curriculum and UoW offers a number of ways to assist students and teachers. Each year, we host year 12 students in an Engineering Studies Day. Students complete hands on practical activities in measuring material properties and these activities support the learning objectives in Engineering Studies. For more information on the Engineering Studies Day please contact the Faculty. In addition, we list below useful web resources that help to explain some of the fundamental and applied aspects of MSE. We hope that they are helpful to students in Engineering Studies. Chemistry students may also find the information relevant to the Yr 12 topic Production of Materials.
