In 2008, the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Wollongong has organised two (2) technology-based competitions. These are:
* The Year 11 Design & Technology Competition
and
* The Year 12 Engineering Studies Competition
Both of these competitions are based on work done by the students as part of their assessment. In the case of the Design & Technology Competition, schools are invited to submit portfolios/products their students have worked on in the Preliminary Course. In the case of the Engineering Studies Competition, schools are invited to submit Engineering Reports their students have worked on in the HSC Course.

All the Awards and Prizes will be announced and presented at the Combined Awards Evening on Wednesday, 19th November at the University of Wollongong.
