Senior High Schools Technology Competitions

In 2009, the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Wollongong has organised six (6) Senior High Schools Technology Competitions in NSW and two (2) Senior College Design & Technology Competitions in ACT. These are:

* The NSW Year 11 Design & Technology Competition

* The NSW Year 12 Design & Technology Competition

* The NSW Year 11 Engineering Studies Competition  

* The NSW Year 12 Engineering Studies Competition  

* The NSW Year 11 Industrial Technology Competition

* The NSW Year 12 Industrial Technology Competition

* The ACT Year 11 Design & Technology Competition

* The ACT Year 12 Design & Technology Competition

All of these Competitions are based on work done by the students as part of their assessment.

In the case of the NSW Design & Technology Competitions, schools are invited to submit portfolios/products their students have worked on in either the Preliminary Course or the HSC Course.

In the case of the NSW Engineering Studies Competitions, schools are invited to submit Engineering Reports their students have worked on in either the Preliminary Course or the HSC Course.

In the case of the NSW Industrial Technology Competitions, schools are invited to submit folios/practical projects their students have worked on in either the Preliminary Course or the HSC Course.

In the case of the ACT Design & Technology Competitions, schools are invited to submit portfolios and practical projects their students have worked on in any of the 4 Units in Year 11 or the Major Project Unit in Year 12.

All the Awards and Prizes will be announced and presented at the Combined Presentation Evening on Wednesday, 25th November at the University of Wollongong.
