Access may be provided to University Staff and facilities to industrial, other organisations and individuals for specialist advice and experimental work. The University does not compete for routine work with private providers. Rates charged are on a full-cost recovery plus profit basis and the rates are not less than those recommended by the Australian Vice-Chancellors Committee. Indication costs will be provided on request.

An agreement must be signed for each service.

The University provides professional indemnity cover for all properly authorised University consultancies.

The University is able to provide relevant short courses for industry. Some of these can be credited to University awards.
