Watershed Bounded Network Model WBNM 2007

The Watershed Bounded Network Model WBNM for flood
estimation on natural and urban catchment was originally
developed by Michael Boyd, David Pilgrim and Ian Cordery
from 1975-1979. Subsequent versions were prepared by
Michael Boyd, Bryson Bates, David Pilgrim and Ian Cordery
in 1987, and Michael Boyd, Ted Rigby and Rudy Van Drie
from 1994-2005. Recent development has been by Michael
Boyd, Ted Rigby, Rudy Van Drie, Stev Roso, Andrew Wiersma
and Anthony Barthelmess.
Some of WBNM’s features are:
- design storms, durations 5 minutes to 72 hours,
ARI 1 to 500 years.
- probable maximum precipitation using GSDM, Bulletin
53
- embedded design storms - with critical burst embedded
within longer storm
- built in culvert and weir hydraulics, including outlet
control
- fully Windows based
- GUI template for building data file
- GIS map overlays
- input/output files documented and saved for QA purposes
- extensive graphics for viewing results
- subcatchments can be easily added/deleted
- onsite detention easily added/deleted
- storage reservoirs/detention basins easily added/deleted
- multiple diversions of surcharging flow
- erodible fuseplug spillway
- new Excel interface allowing easy build of runfiles
and easy viewing of results
