********WBNM Version 104******** ********January 2007 This disk contains the latest release of the flood hydrograph model WBNM. We are sure its many new features will be very useful for flooding studies. WBNM is undergoing continuing development. This present release contains an update of the existing hydrology simulation engine and associated hydraulic structures and flowpaths. It is has undergone extensive testing and applications. To assist users to install and use the model the software contains : Wbnm2007 Main folder : ===================== WBNMCHCK.EXE - program to check for errors in your runfile WBNMFRMT.EXE - program to convert files in free format to field widths of 12 (compatible with release 3.00) WBNMMAIN.EXE - main program to operate WBNM software WBNMRUN.EXE - the hydrology and hydraulic calculation engine WBNMSORT.EXE - program to sort subareas into the correct sequence, so that calculations proceed from top to bottom subarea WBNMVIEW.EXE - view graphical output iWBNM - Excel interface allowing fast & simple construction of runfiles, and analysis of results after running WBNM GLOBAL.INI - Typical global initialisation file test_batch_mode.bat - sample file to run WBNM in batch mode new_model_template.wbn - blank runfile opened when new runfile is to be created NOCatchmentSIM.bat WBNM.bmp - image for WBNMMAIN screen LF90.eer - error message file iWBNM.xls - Excel worksheet which can be used as an interface to create runfiles and to interpret results. Wbnm2007_Docs Documentation sub-folder (place under WBNM2007 folder): ========================== WBNM_Readme.txt - this file WBNM_GUI.pdf - document describing the front end for program control and runfile creation & editting WBNM_History.pdf - document giving the history of WBNM version releases WBNM_References.pdf - document listing all papers referred to in WBNM_Theory.doc WBNM_Runfile.pdf - document giving the structure of the runfile WBNM_Theory.pdf - document giving the theory and assumptions in the model WBNM_Tutorial.pdf - document explaining results from the sample *.wbn files WBNM_UserGuide.pdf - document giving background details of the model WBNM_Validation.pdf - gives typical recorded and simulated hydrographs for natural and urban catchments, ranging from very large to very small. WBNM_ViewGuide.pdf - document giving details of the graphics plotting routines Wbnm2007_Runfiles sub-folder (place under WBNM2007 folder): ============================ PROJECT.INI - Typical project initialisation file WBNM.ifd - sample design rainfall data file LF90.eer - error message file NATURAL.WBN - sample runfile for a natural catchment with recorded storm URBAN.WBN - runfile for part urban catchment with recorded storm EMBEDDED_DESIGN.WBN - demonstrating a design burst embedded within a longer design storm event DESIGN_EXTERNAL.WBN - the same embedded design storm, but with design rainfall IFD coefficients located in an external IFD file rather than in the runfile DESIGN_SPECTRUM.WBN - runs 10 design storms to determine critical duration storm RECD_STORMS.WBN - demonstrates different rainfall units (MM/HOUR, MM/PERIOD, PERCENT) STORAGE_INLETCONTROL.WBN - runfile for storage reservoir with culvert inlet control STORAGE_HSQ.WBN - a repeat of STORAGE_INLETCONTROL.WBN, but using an entered table of elevation-storage-discharge values, rather than specifying culvert dimensions STORAGE_PARTFULL.WBN - storage reservoir part full at start of storm STORAGE_DEAD.WBN - storage reservoir must fill to specified elevation before outflow commences STORAGE_OUTLET_FIXED.WBN - storage reservoir with culvert outlet control, fixed tailwater level STORAGE_OUTLET_CHNL.WBN - storage reservoir with culvert outlet control, tailwater set by trapezoidal downstream channel STORAGE_OUTLET_RATING.WBN - storage reservoir with culvert outlet control, tailwater set by rating curve in downstream channel STORAGE_DIVERT.WBN - diverts all flows which exceed a nominated discharge (m3/s) STORAGE_FLOW_DIVSNS.WBN - diverts flows to multiple downstream points (m3/s) STORAGE_BLOCKAGE.WBN - a storage with one of the outlets blocked by debris STORAGE_SCOURABLE.WBN - storage reservoir with erodible spillway CULVERT_H_Q.WBN - file which lets you use WBNM to calculate culvert hydraulics RESERVOIR_ROUTING.WBN - file which lets you use WBNM for flood routing of an inflow hydrograph through a storage reservoir ROAD_EMBANKMENT.WBN - models flow over a road embankment with a dip OFFSTREAM_STORAGE.WBN - a storage located offstream, but directly connected to the stream channel OFFSTREAM_STORAGE_1.WBN - a storage located offstream, not directly connected to the stream channel ONSITE_DETENTION.WBN - small onsite detention storage calculations HED_ONSITE_DETENTION.WBN - onsite detention using a High Early Discharge outlet WSUD_micro.wbn - example of Water Sensitive Urban Design at the micro scale iWbnm sub-folder: ============================ iWBNM.xls - Excel interface for Wbnm - place in main Wbnm2007 folder. Read_me.txt Test_iWbnm_Lite_ARI_Spectrum.wbn - a sample runfile to demonstrate the Lite version of iWbnm, including automatic running of a spectrum of design storms. Test_iWbnm_Advanced.wbn - a sample runfile to demonstrate the Advanced version of iWbnm. Note: iWbnm.xls should be placed in the main Wbnm2007 folder, the remaining files may stay in the iWbnm sub-folder. Note: iWBNM needs Microsoft Office 2003 or Office 2007 version of Excel to run. =========================================================================================== NOTE: After downloading, Check sizes of zipped files on WBNM website to ensure file has been correctly downloaded. NOTE: Set the correct path in the global.ini file for Adobe Acrobat to read the documentation, and the correct path for Notepad (or similar text editor) to edit runfiles. NOTE: If you have a previous version of WBNM, make sure you open the correct Runfiles folder to select your runfile, not that of the previous version. NOTE: The new interface Excel based interface, iWBNM.xls, should be placed in the main WBNM folder. This is a powerful Excel interface which allows easy construction of runfiles and easy interpretation of results, including graphics. ########################################################################################
