INFORMATION FOR PRESENTERS

SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS

An abstract must be submitted for all presentations

(i) Format of Abstract

¯ Maximum of 300 words

¯ Times New Roman 12 Font

¯ Headings: Presenter; Supervisors; Title; Abstract

(ii) MS Word (.doc) or rich Text Format (.rtf) by email to ghughes@uow.edu.au.

(iii) Due date: 2 weeks before presentation date

SUBMISSION OF WRITTEN PROPOSALS

A full written proposal must be submitted for all research proposal and upgrade presentations

(iv) Full written proposal in the accepted Faculty format.

(v) MS Word (.doc) or rich Text Format (.rtf) by email to ghughes@uow.edu.au.

(vi) Due date: 2 weeks before presentation date

PRESENTATION FORMAT

Presentations are 20 minutes with an additional 10-15 minutes for questions. Research proposal and PhD upgrade presentations are followed by closed discussion by the panel then a summary discussion with the candidate and their peer support person.

PRESENTATION EQUIPMENT

An Apple computer with PowerPoint will be available. Please bring your Presentation on a USB drive (you can also email Kim Oborn with a backup of your presentation). If for any reason this does not accommodate your needs, please specify your presentation requirements.
