As a postgraduate research student it is important to aquaint yourself with UOW research policies.
Intellectual Property Policy
This policy sets out the principles and procedures associated with intellectual property for all UOW staff and students.
Authorship Policy
The authorship policy is designed to help clarify what constitutes authorship and ensure appropriate acknowledgement for those involved in the conduct of research. It is important to discuss issues of authorship with your supervisor(s) before and during your candidature so that your individual expectations are articulated and the policy is followed.
Code of Practice - Supervision
This code of practice sets out the responsibilities of the University, academic unit, supervisor and student. This is a key document for you during your candidature. Of particular importance is Appendix A which provides a checklist for the first formal meeting between you and your supervisor(s).
Code of Practice - Research
All UOW staff and students are bound by the Code of Practice - Research. The policy sets best practice relating to procedures for responsible practices in research and dealing with problems of research misconduct.
Government Policy Statement on Research & Research Training
