Doctor of Education
The specialisation component of a Doctorate of Education
in the Literacy Program consists of at least twenty
four credit points chosen from the Language and Literacy
Program in line with the requirements listed in"Patterns
of Study". These subjects are listed below:

Master of Education
in Literacy
A specialisation in the Master of Education in Literacy
requires the student to complete four subjects in the
Language and Literacy specialisation. The course can
run as a distance off shore program as all subjects
are run online.

Students should discuss their proposed course of study
with the Program Co-ordinator, Dr Jan Turbill as other
subjects may be chosen to fulfil the specialisation
requirements. Please note all subjects run online with
on campus meetings when needed.
Graduate Certificate
In Literacy
The Graduate Certificate in Literacy is designed to
provide a specialist qualification in the area of Literacy
Education for teachers interested in qualifying in this
area. This is offered as an online program and is also
available as a full-fee distance program. On campus
meetings are organised as needed for local students.
The course consists of 24 credit points generally completed
over twelve months. Three subjects are chosen from the
