Thai Visitors are Welcomed by the Faculty of Education

Thirty-two Thai delegates from Srinakharinwirot University and Prasarnmit Secondary Demonstration School recently attended an Education Seminar at the University of Wollongong. The delegates were welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Professor Paul Chandler. who extended a warm welcome and demonstrated our commitment to the relationship the Faculty has with Srinakharinwirot University.
The Education seminar focus on IT, Mathematics and Science, the key note speakers included Ian Olney, Lecturer in Information Technology who spoke about New Technologies', New Issues, Morris Needleman, Mathematics Technology Co-ordinator from Reddam House, who spoke about "Lovely Problems, Elegant Solutions", Associate Professor Gary Hoban, Senior Lecturer in Science Education spoke about Teaching Science and Mathematical Concepts Creatively with Digital Animation and Dr Mohan Chinnappan - Snr Lecturer Maths Education explored the topic of Change in a real-life context: understanding Distance, Speed, and Time Relationships using Simulation software.
Srinakharinwirot University has had an ongoing relationship with the Faculty of Education for the past 14 years. Students from the Faculty use Prasarnmit Demonstration School for overseas practicum experiences each year in January.
