PDF Printing Problems?Use the Acrobat Toolbar Use the printer icon on the Acrobat Toolbar, NOT from the File menu.
Don't print from inside the browser!PDF files don't like being printed by the browser. The process may crash your computer and even damage your files. Large PDF files can also take a very long time loading into a browser, epecially when scrolling. The problem is worse if you are using a dial-up modem. Solution: Save it to your computer and print using Acrobat reader.
- If possible, save the PDF file directly from Janison. Right-click on the link (Windows) or click-and-hold on the link (Mac); a menu will pop up. From the menu, select Save this Link as or Download link to disk; you can then rename the document and save it wherever you want;
OR
- Load the PDF file as usual and then immediately save it using the disk icon in the Acrobat toolbar at the top of the pdf window (left of the printer icon).
Once you've saved the PDF file, what next? Open the Adobe Acrobat Reader program and load the PDF file. It should load much faster, scroll correctly and, more importantly, print correctly. Of course all of this assumes that the PDF file is not corrupted and will load in the first place. If the PDF is corrupted, try to download it again. If this fails then the PDF file was not created properly, inform your lecturer.
