Learning & Development Fund
The Learning & Development Fund provides opportunities and support for UOW students – opportunities to enrich their studies through personal and professional development and support for the many hardworking students who struggle to meet the costs and commitments associated with University study.
For a great number of prospective young and mature age students the opportunity to attend university is outside their reach. For those who make it to UOW, financial and other barriers often inhibit the ability to participate fully in all the opportunities available through tertiary study.
Your gifts to the Learning & Development Fund can help provide practical support for UOW students through equity and diversity initiatives and opportunities to expand the student experience, including but not limited to:
- Student bursaries
- Rent assistance
- Laptops
- Home internet access
- Travel vouchers
- Textbook vouchers
- Computer software
- Aids for disabled students
- Scholarships for non-traditional courses
- Vouchers for clothing or equipment for specialised degree students, eg – Nursing, Medicine, Creative Arts, etc
- Support for international students
