The Research & Innovation Fund supports the advancement of critical community research activities at UOW. Research to investigate community health issues and improve the quality of life for all Australians; to develop technological innovations for vital industries; to improve telecommunication and transportation systems; to make better use of our limited resources; to understand more about and further Australia’s place in the global community; to promote effective teaching practices; and to investigate social and environmental issues.
The University is committed to research that makes an impact. Effective partnerships with industry and other research organisations ensure that the work of our talented academics is relevant and informed. Multidisciplinary research teams provide the opportunity for research at the boundaries between disciplines to enable quantum leaps in our understanding of critical issues.

RESEARCH PROJECTS
Each year the Research and Innovation Fund supports projects that impact on the local and global community.
Cancer Research
In 2008, the Fund is supporting Professor Anatoly Rozenfeld and his team of researchers develop new methods for diagnosis and treatment of breast and prostate cancer.
