IN-MEMORIAM GIFTS

An in-memoriam gift allows you to honour your loved one by establishing a fund which family and friends may contribute to in their memory. You select the area of research or academic endeavour the gift will support. You may wish to establish a scholarship or award named in memory of your loved one.

UOW has been the fortunate recipient of a number of in-memoriam gifts, including the Gay Bates Memorial Fund and the Robert East Memorial Fund. Gifts in memory of these compassionate individuals are currently helping medical research into cancer. Another wonderful example of in-memoriam giving is the Marie Lewis Award. This prize honours the late Marie Lewis, a long standing staff member and graduate of UOW. The annual prize recognises academic achievement and service amongst staff at UOW.

To establish an in-memoriam gift  you will need to provide the following information:

1. Your name and address. (For receipting purposes).
2. The name and address of the deceased person.
3. The name and address of the next of kin or nearest family member. (To allow us to inform them of your kind memorial donation. Gift amounts will not be disclosed unless specifically requested).
