2008 Annual Fund
In 2007 UOW alumni donated over $26,000 to help secure a brighter future for the thousands of Australian men and women living with dementia and to support young people who struggle to meet the costs and commitments associated with University study.
In 2008 we again need your support for the Research and Innovation Fund and the Learning and Development Fund. This year, your gifts to these funds will help alleviate the anguish of cancer sufferers and assist young people to excel in their educational pursuits.
You can support these vital initiatives by donating now.
CANCER RESEARCH
Through their work with new technology, such as Brachytherapy and Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), Professor Anatoly Rozenfeld and his team of researchers are developing new methods for diagnosis and treatment of breast and prostate cancer. These developments will significantly impact on future cancer treatment.
The Research and Innovation Fund helps UOW researchers find solutions to real problems and work on projects that really make a difference to individuals, our region, the nation and the international community. Read more about UOW research.
STUDENTS IN NEED
The Learning and Development Fund enables capable and determined young minds to achieve in their work and studies. Support from the community inspires our students as they explore, share and apply knowledge to advance our community. In 2008 the UOW Learning and Development Fund will ensure more students have the chance to access and make the most of their higher education.
