JACK GOLDRING MEMORIAL FUND

The name Jack Goldring is synonymous with the UOW Faculty of Law. As Foundation Dean Jack brought to a young and dynamic university a law school that placed the students at the centre of the learning process and encouraged them to engage with the complexities of law and its relationship to other social, political and economic forces. In the last two decades the Faculty has built on Jack's legacy and developed into a mature school with an excellent reputation.

To celebrate its 20th anniversary and to honour the late Professor Goldring, the Faculty has launched the Jack Goldring Memorial Fund. Gifts to this fund will be used to support a student scholarship and an annual public lecture, will allow us to honour Jack's lifetime contribution to law and justice, legal education and law reform.

To allow the scholarship to be provided in perpetuity, as a lasting acknowledgement of Professor Goldring’s contributions, we aim to establish an endowment. Our goal is to secure an endowment (fund), which would allow a $10,000 scholarship to be awarded each year to a deserving student in memory of Professor Goldring.
