TIDE, now in its second year, this anthology of local writing brings together the work of both students and community members.
The independently funded publication grew out of a course the students were undertaking as part of their Creative Arts (Creative Writing) degree. Students have been responsible for all of the magazines graphics, layout, copy-editing, fundraising and promotion.
I think this is a fantastic opportunity for students to showcase their talents, said lecturer Dr Shady Cosgrove, who is running the course for the second year in a row.
Its valuable experience that will benefit them in their future careers.
TIDE was launched on Friday, 27th May 2005 in the foyer of the Creative Arts faculty at 6.30pm. The evening featured readings and guest speakers.
