2009 Nude Auction…Naked Artifacts
Students and staff from the Faculty of Creative Arts will continue the artistic tradition of working with the human figure, with an exhibition of nude works to be held in the Faculty’s Long Gallery from Wednesday the 16th until Thursday the 24th of September.
The exhibition will culminate in an exciting auction to be held at 12:30 pm on Thursday 24th September, in which members of the public have the opportunity to purchase quality art pieces from both established and emerging artists. The auction finale is free to attend, and is an important event for those wishing to support and participate in Wollongong’s cultural and artistic community.
Staff and students from the Faculty of Creative Arts have submitted art-works in a range of media (including painting, photography and digital media) on the subject of the nude.
The nude auction is a fundraising initiative undertaken by the Graduating Student Committee. It will raise money for their graduation show “Grad Wrap”, to be held in November this year. Grad Wrap is the culmination of three years of art-making and study for students completing a Bachelor of Creative Arts, majoring in Visual Arts, Graphic Design or Media Arts at the University of Wollongong.

Admission is free to all galleries at the Faculty of Creative Arts.
Gallery Opening Hours are 9am–5pm, Monday to Friday
