New and Old works by two young artists

Neil Tomkins and Mitchell Cullen
2nd year Visual Arts students
 12 – 30 May 2008

From the artists:

These works are a mix of old and recent works they show for us a development of style and concept. Our works strongly reflect both our visual experiences and our workings of the inner mind. Our developing ideas are another theme in relation to formal structures, how they can be distorted and twisted and yet remain true to the object.

Our progress in the studio has been developed through the practice of painting and sculpture. In a sense these works are a reflection of our environment and the people in it. These works show a transition over the past year during which time they have grown in intensity and application.
