Portrait Prize for Illawarra Institute of Technology and Faculty of Creative Arts staff and students.
An exhibition tagged the Wollongong version of the Archibald Prize will open in the Long Gallery at the University of Wollongong.
The HEADS exhibition of portraits is a combined staff and student exhibition of the Illawarra Institute of Technology and the Faculty of Creative Arts, and is being held for the fourth successive year. It has proven to be a popular attraction and the current prize money of $800 is donated by the Institute of Technology and the Faculty of Creative Arts, however, ongoing sponsorship is being sought for the annual exhibition.
Judges this year are Tony Hull, Lecturer at Illawarra Institute of Technology and Louise Brand, Curator at Wollongong City Gallery.
