Artist Statement: The work here can be seen as a visual node where the function or the place of contemporary art is scrutinised within a broader social, political and cultural context. It is within this broad context that my research topic 'Investigation of Greek and Turkish Cypriot artistic exchange across the border in Cyprus' is informing, influencing and developing my understanding of the wider field of visual complexities that surround us and our perceptions of that. In other words, this work either in its individual components or in its collective form (or both) can be viewed as experimentations with visualising thoughts.
