Functionality/creativity Naomi Heylin From the Designer: I am investigating information design and strategies to effectively map information for an internet environment. Using the Wollongong of University Research and Innovation Division website I am exploring how a map of specifically obtained data can be approached in a creatively inspired and accessible manner.
Typo_Journal 07 Benjamin Klopper From the Designer: Through this project I am investigating publication design and how its process can be combined with the development of an original typeface. The project is a 2007 journal. The journal, titled Up Stream Oar Down? has a structure that is loose yet orderly to accommodate both functional and creative uses. It follows the theme of a year as a journey along a river, which also poses certain philosophical questions. Its design is based upon the typography of its pages. The type is a reflection of the theme of the project and the process of its development. The final outcome is not just a journal but also a typographic style that can be explored further and applied to other media.
Reaching Water Kate McBride From the Designer: Reaching Water is an exploration of my perspective on packaging designs simplicity within a field of complexity. Reaching Water is a metaphor used to describe my design practice within the project of re-branding and re-packaging Liptons Herbal Infusion range of tea.
