2004 Grad Show
They Went That Way

In an exhibition titled, ‘They Went That Way’ UOW School of Art & Design students showcase three years of artwork. It's been a long and intense three years for 80 graduating University of Wollongong Creative Arts students, and now it's time to celebrate.
Years of hard work and creative dedication went on display last week (Friday 12 November) when the University of Wollongong's School of Art and Design opened a diverse exhibition of visual art and graphic design to the public.
The Graduation Exhibition is a celebration of works including oil paintings, sculptural pieces, digitally composed prints and multimedia productions from third year Creative Arts students.
Exhibition Director and Graphic Design student, Sandra Renwick, said it was a wonderful opportunity for students to celebrate three years of creative work and study.
“This exhibition is a chance for all the students to sit back, relax and finally enjoy the results of all their hard work,” she said.
“Opening night was fantastic ,” she said. “It was an enjoyable experience for all with musical accompaniment from local musicians and a wide selection of finger food and beverages.”
Dave Batty from ABC Television/Radio was a guest speaker on the opening night.
A full colour catalogue, sponsored by Print Media and designed by the students, is on sale during the exhibition. The catalogue will display the talents of each graduating student and will feature reflections from the students on their work and time at UOW.
