Truth is relative.

In the post apocalyptic world of Canned Fruit two wanderers find themselves with no idea of the future and even less of what has come before. They must forge their way towards a collective consciousness they can agree on. No one idea of what is real will do and a conflict is fought in the name of imagination.

In Three, an old friend arrives on Marks doorstep calling into question his carefully constructed image and the future he envisions with Jenny, his new girlfriend. Conflicting opinions are argued and past wounds reopen, unravelling the life he has built out of them.

A double bill that draws on the multifaceted abilities of Faculty of Creative Arts students, Canned Fruit & Three is written, directed, designed, and performed by students from both the Creative Writing and Performance programs; it extends the Faculty’s support for its emerging artists by providing a platform for the development of artistic practice through student initiated projects.

From the fractured beliefs of Three, to the false sense of security of Canned Fruit, these works reflect on how our values are constructed and the dilemmas faced when they come into conflict.
