A dynamic theatrical mash-up of Friedrich Nietzsche's monumental philosophical opus on philosophy and morality, Thus Spake Zarathustra: A Book for All and None.
Original, inventive, and profoundly influential throughout the 20th century, Nietzsche understood Thus Spake Zarathustra, as his most important work. His story of the wandering Zarathustra, a Christ-like prophet who descends from the mountains challenging conventional morality and standards, has had a profound influence on artists, musicians, writers and thinkers.
What could be more Rock and Roll?
To Nietzsche’s mix of homilies, parables, epigrams and dreams exploring some of his most exciting and contentious doctrines, including the superman, the death of God and the ‘eternal return of the same’, is added 7 writers, 1 director, 26 performers and a hot rock n roll band called Zarathrustra & the Disciples from Mars..., to create an opus-mashing operatic meets rock & roll performance event!
Everyone and No-one… emerged from the 7-0n Playwrights Collective who, dissatisfied with a theatre of the everyday, were looking to collaborate on a development of a theatre of energy and ideas. FCA Performance is delighted to be working with the 7-On Playwrights Collective on this exciting new project.
