FCA sound presents Voltage…
Audiovisual works, lap-tops, turntables, guitars, koto, electronics, pianos, folk instruments, computers, and self built instruments… Voltage showcases the world of contemporary sound and music!
This extraordinary spectrum of musical and not-so-musical styles over two nights, showcases an eclectic mix of original performance works by second and third year students majoring in Sound – Composition and Music Production (SCMP) at the Faculty of Creative Arts.
Featuring harmonies, drones, electro acoustic, blues, noise, vocals, music softwares, samples, pre and pure data, a string quartet and even a blues band, today’s young and emerging composers range across media, instruments and styles to present this unique festival of music and sound.

Second year showcase + Audiovisual works
Friday night’s program includes live works created by second year SCMP students, as well as screenings of audiovisual works by students from across the three-year degree.
Saturday18 October @ 8pm
Third year graduating showcase
Saturday night’s program features works by the graduating class of 2008, again encompassing live audiovisual and electronic works, new piano works for solo performers, piano for four hands, piano for seven hands as well as acoustic instrumental performances collaborations between composers and instrument builders.
