Pan
Written & Directed by Luke Holmes

25 January 2006

Directed by Luke Holmes, Pan will be performed by Faculty of Creative Arts students from 22 – 25 February 2006 at 8.00pm in the Performance Space at the University of Wollongong.

Pan is the story of a boy whose childhood consisted of a warm-hearted but subservient mother, a dominant and abusive father and a world of imagination.

When met by a young angel who thought she was doing the right thing, Peter learnt how to escape from the harsh world of his family by creating blockages and distractions from his imagination. First by creating someone who would protect him, then by creating a world he could escape to and finally by creating a new person who would live his life for him.

As Peter gets older it becomes increasingly important for him to ‘grow up’ and face his family. However, in doing that he risks destroying the world he’s created and possibly his innocence.

The University of Wollongong students are excited to be presenting this piece over four nights in February.

The public are invited to attend the Performance.
