Elisabeth Bähr, collector and owner of the Aboriginal Art Galerie Baehr, in Speyer, Germany, visited the University of Wollongong on 24 February 2005 to give a talk on general Exhibition practise of Aboriginal art in Germany at the Faculty of Creative Arts. Ms Bähr’s efforts to raise awareness of Aboriginal art in Germany is reflected in her numerous publications and exhibitions over the past years. Her work as well as other sources related to Aboriginal art, e.g. a comprehensive library, can be visited on the Gallery’s Website: www.aboriginal-art.de.


 

Glenn Barkley, Curator University of Wollongong art Collection will be presenting a floor talk with Jade Pegler (UoW/FCA Alumni) at Wollongong City Gallery Wednesday 9th March. Glenns talk will look at the use of collage in contemporary Australian art. The talk is in conjunction with Jade Pegler's exhibition 'Catalogue Me' 19th February - 10th April, Wollongong City Gallery Mercury Gallery.

 

BCA Hons graduate and current Postgraduate student, Vanessa Badham, has been named Best Playwright on the London Fringe for 2005.
