Monstertown

Monstertown | Serial Content Development

The Monstertown project represents the development of serial animation creation and production processes for the sole practitioner.

In this instance, a character-based serial narrative, suitable for illustrated, animated or dramatic development that can serve as presentation material to potential investors or collaborators. The resulting material also acts as a record for the purpose of establishing copyright ownership.

Through the use of digital media, it is possible for a designer to produce a package that presents singular aspects of a creative notion. The procedure allows the designer to explore and refine creative solutions to issues pertaining to content production within a restricted framework.

Drawing on industry experience and theoretical investigations this exhibit offers a working serial content production template. The design and technical features utilise complimentary aspects of traditional and digital creative processes. The template structure has been devised to facilitate the development of new creative material, exploiting the capacity of digital software to streamline production and develop cross media content.

The work will be presented in G10 from Monday 8th of March through to Friday March 12th.
