FAQ’s – Offers and Enrolment
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS… Applications and interviews are now complete! Please see below for answers to your questions about the Faculty of Creative Arts offer process:
HSC and UAC applicants only-
Q1. When will I know if I have an actual offer to study at the Faculty of Creative Arts (FCA) in 2010?
A1. All UAC applicants have received written notification of the outcome of their interview/audition.
Q2. What if I don’t receive an offer for the course I wanted?
A2. If you receive an offer in one round, don't assume that you will receive another offer in a subsequent round. If you don't accept your offer and you don't receive an offer in a subsequent round, you may miss out on tertiary study in 2010.
Accepting an offer does not stop you from being considered in subsequent offer rounds unless it is your first preference. You must accept your offer by the date indicated in your offer material otherwise you may lose your offer.
Q3. What if I don’t receive an offer at all?
A3. You will automatically be reconsidered for the Late and Final Rounds if places are available. If you still do not receive an offer, you may consider alternative paths to UOW through Wollongong College Australia. Call 1300 367 869 for details.
Q4. Do I need to change my course preferences with UAC between offer rounds?
A4. No, not unless you have changed your mind about what you wish to study. If you receive an offer to your first course preference in one offer round you will not be considered for your lower course preferences in subsequent offer rounds unless you change your course preferences.
Q5. Can I defer my degree or scholarship if I get an offer?
A5. The Faculty of Creative Arts does not accept deferrals for scholarships or degrees. If you do not wish to attend in 2010, you will need to re-apply for 2011 during our normal application process.
Q6. I have received the offer I wanted through UAC. What happens now?
A6. You will need to accept your offer through UAC at www.uac.edu.au/. Once you have done this, you will need to attend UOW enrolment days.
Main round enrolments for all new undergraduate domestic students will occur between 27 and 29 January 2010. Enrolment days for the Faculty of Creative Arts are as follows:
- Double Degrees: Wednesday 27 January 2010

Transferring applicants only –
Q1. When will I be notified of the outcome of my application?
A1. Transfer applicants will be notified in early February 2010.
Q2. I don’t know which subjects to enrol in. Should I enrol in my current course, or the one I have applied for?
A2. In order to retain your place at UOW and to avoid Late Re-Enrolment Charges in the event that you are not successful in gaining entry to the Faculty of Creative Arts, you are advised to re-enrol in your current program of study.
If you successfully gain a transfer into the Faculty of Creative Arts you will be advised about procedures for changing your course code, withdrawing from these subjects and enrolling into Creative Arts subjects. Applications for advanced standing will also be considered at this time.
