Composer and inter-media artist, Catherine Schieve provides us with 3 stunning exhibits in one as she presents excerpts from her exploration and mapping of the sound and vision connection.
Dirt, Text and Sound paintings take us on Catherine’s journey through various landscapes including those of Louisiana, Brazil, Europe, West Africa, India and the Andes and is derived from the visual diaries she kept to map the sounds, movement and language she encountered during her travels.
Opened Thursday 4 May 2006 (in conjunction with The Tones of Subjectivity). Exhibiting in the east end of the Gallery.

The Tones of Subjectivity

The exhibit explores The Tones of Subjectivity from three different viewpoints. Through organic formations, interiors and the animal eye, this collective display conveys it’s message with colour and intensity.
