This year we plan on informing participants of updates via this website. Make sure that you check back regularly for updates and news on the event.

Decide if you need to increase your fitness level. Be Prepared for the 14km! Join URAC's 8 wk training program and enjoy structured training in a fun and social environment. Limited spots available so join today!

The event is 14 km long and includes a rather aptly named ‘heart break hill’ and so you need to assess your own level of fitness to compete. Last year we had people that completed in just under an hour to some that took over three hours so you should be able to find a level of performance that suits you.

You have around 10 weeks left to get ready for the event which should give you time to work on your fitness. Remember it is a fun event wherein we also try to promote our great University (If you ask anyone who participated in the last few years I am sure they will tell you it is a great day and very satisfying to know you managed to finish despite all the excuses you thought of during the run especially up 'that hill').

Do let me know if I have forgotten anything and let's hope for fine cool weather on Sunday 9th August from about 9:00 am till when you finish!!!
