Primary Teachers' Mathematics Conference

The Centre is pleased to announce the inaugural Making Maths Visible in the Illawarra Conference. This is an initiative of the University of Wollongong, Department of Education and Training (Illawarra South East region) and the Catholic Education Office Wollongong. It presents a wonderful opportunity for collaboration and professional learning across sectors in the area of Mathematics education. Twenty–four workshops and presentations will be offered covering a variety of learning and teaching experiences across the primary years of schooling.Origo Mathematical Education Resources Company, renowned for creating dynamic classroom materials and providing inspiring professional development for teachers is the major sponsor of this conference. Origo’s award winning team comprising James Burnett , Rosemary & Calvin Irons, Allan Turton, Gerard Tuffield and Anita Chin will be presenting alongside teachers and university students from the Illawarra region.
