Objectives: As applications of information security technologies become pervasive, issues pertaining to their deployment and operation are becoming increasingly important. ISPEC is an annual conference that brings together researchers and practitioners to provide a confluence of new information security technologies, their applications and their integration with IT systems in various vertical sectors. In 2005, 2006, and 2007, three conferences were successfully held in Singapore, Hangzhou, China, and Hong Kong, China, respectively. The conference proceedings were published by Springer as Lecture Notes in Computer Science. This fourth conference ISPEC 2008 will be held in Sydney, Australia, 21-23, April 2008. Again, the conference proceedings will be published in a volume of Springer LNCS.
