6th International Conference on Educational Leadership
"Leading Learning Communities: Strategy,
Action and Reflection"

The Australain Centre for Educational Leadership is pleased to announce its Sixth Annual International Conference on Educational Leadership scheduled for 15 and 16 February 2007 at the Wollongong Campus of the University of Wollongong. The Conference is cosponsored by the Faculty of Education, University of Wollongong, the Catholic Diocese of Wollongong, NSW Department of Education and Training, and the Australian College of Educators.

We expect to attract 300 participants, both local and international.
The theme centers on leadership challenges of creating and sustaining vibrant, versatile and smarter educational organizations in the context of rapid change, demanding professional accountabilities and expectations, and diverse and shifting needs of students.

Drawing on exemplary and innovative practice, research and experience, presenters and participants will consider how educational leaders can guide schools to become learning communities and why they must continuously learn, develop, renew, innovate and improvise.
Conference sub-themes include:
·      Re-culturing and re-inventing the school community
·      Evidence based leadership
·      Team building and professional learning
·      Integrating teaching, learning and school management
·      Infusing values based leadership
·      How adults learn
  
Integral to the Conference is a series of workshop presentations led by eminent and emerging educational leaders and practitioners.

Participants in our Conferences are typically school leaders, teachers, school leadership teams, systemic administrators from the government and non-government education systems, trainers and management educators, and university academics.
