Conference Session Formats

As in 2007, we plan to run a small conference consisting of research presentations and a limited number of symposia.  Delegates will have the opportunity to attend most if not all presentations, as parallel sessions will be restricted.

Essential Proposal data

Each proposal should include the names, affiliations and contact details of all authors.

Individual proposals for papers

Individual presentations will be scheduled for 40 minutes (25-30 minutes presentation 10-15 minutes presentation). Please ensure presentations keep to the time limit. Papers should either report new empirical data or consist of a major review of the literature leading towards new research directions.  All proposals should be submitted as a 200-300 word abstract

Proposals for Post-graduate research students and Early Career Researchers

Research students or early career researchers will be provided with an opportunity to present their research and receive feedback from an appointed discussant and conference participants.  Each presentation will be scheduled for 20 minutes.  A 200-300-word summary should be submitted, which summarises the aims, method, findings and conclusions of the study.

Proposals for symposia

A limited number of 80-minute spots will be made available for symposia consisting of 3-4 closely related papers and a discussant.  A 1000-word summary must be submitted, which summarises the aims, method, findings and conclusions of each paper, as well as an overall rationale for the symposium.

Notification of acceptance: January 3, 2008
