Transport
If you are flying into Sydney from overseas or another city in Australia there are several options for travel to Wollongong. I have provided the web addresses for each service so that you can make a choice.
Hire a car
You may wish to hire a car and drive yourself to Wollongong which will take about 50 minutes, depending on the traffic. You can pre-book a car through the following:
Minibus and limousine service
You may prefer to let someone else do the driving and pre-book a car (cost: approx $AUD160) or the minibus (cost: approx. $AUD50)that could meet you and drive you directly to your hotel.

Public Transport
There are two options in this category. You may fancy catching an airport shuttle bus that you can catch outside the arrivals area which will take you to Wollongong. The following information deals with cost and departure times both to and from Wollongong.
Airport to Wollongong via scheduled bus twice daily
To Wollongong from Sydney 9.35am and 2.10pm
To Sydney from Wollongong 9.30am and 3.30pm
Cost from International terminal $27 one way
Cost from Domestic terminal $16 one way.

Another public transport option is using the rail system. There is a station at the international and domestic terminals. You will need to travel to Central Station to catch a train from Central to Wollongong (Domestic $AUD14.40 & International $AUD14.80). As there is no set platform from which trains depart, you will need to check the monitors on your arrival at Central station. The cost is $AUD9.60 one way.

Travel in Wollongong
There is a free shuttle bus that runs in a clockwise and anti-clockwise direction from 7am-10pm from several pick-up points in the CBD, past the University and also the Innovation Campus where our conference dinner will be held.
