What happens if:
I do not indicate my availability
If you do not indicate your availablilty, then the system will assume that you are available any time & day during the week and may allocate you a time that you did not register for.
TPS checks the availabilty times first, before allocating preferences, and avoids these times when processing the allocations. Please refer to the availabilty criteria for more information.
I do not check my lecture timetable first
If you do not check your lecture timetable, before registering your preferences, TPS will override any preferences that clash with your lecture times.
EXAMPLE: you have a lecture time on Monday 9.30 - 11.30 & you register a tutorial preference at this time. TPS will ignore this preference & move on to your next preference for this class. Lectures OVERRULE tutorial preferences
I have subjects outside of Commerce
You may have classes outside of the Faculty of Commerce, as the Lecture times are not known by TPS, you need to indicate the day, time & duration of the lecture. This will ensure that TPS does not allocate a class at that time.
If possible you should also check your other non-Commerce classes (tutorial, seminars) before registering your Commerce Preferences.
