Research Interests
Teaching and research interests include innovation, entrepreneurship, small business management, franchising, strategic and business planning, information, communication and new technologies, e-business, services management, relationship management and marketing, operations management and project management.
Background
Les has extensive experience in teaching and developing innovation and entrepreneurship. Over the past 21 years he has helped in developing new ventures and engaging people in the innovation and entrepreneurship process via the NSW Enterprise Workshop program. In 1987, as the instigator of the first Illawarra team to compete, he won the award for best business plan competition and has mentored a number of teams to go on to win the competition since then. He has been committed to assist the program since then. In 2002, the University of Wollongong nominated him for the Business and Higher Education Round Table (BHERT) best entrepreneurship educator award.
