Major Research Areas

Formed as a research centre within the Faculty of Commerce in 2006, the Centre for Applied Systems Research (CASR) conducts research into the analysis, design, implementation, and evaluation of intra- and inter-organisational systems from both organisational and technical perspectives, with a special interest in the following areas:

– Business Processes, Services and Work Practices
– Supply Chain, Simulation and Operations Management
– Organisational Multimedia, Hypermedia and Virtual Communities

CASR is a foundation centre of the Institute for Innovation in Business and Social Research (IIBSoR), an inaugural node of the Social Innovation Network (SInet), and conducts registered projects at the SMART Infrastructure Facility.
