Casual Academic Teaching Staff Recruitment
Calling for Expressions of Interest
The Faculty of Commerce is calling for Expressions of Interest to undertake casual teaching in its undergraduate and/or postgraduate degree programs. The Faculty of Commerce Purpose is to inspire socially innovative Commerce through research and education. The Faculty aims to become the best place in Australia to teach, learn and research Commerce and, therefore has a strong commitment to providing high quality services for students. Casual Academic Teaching Staff are required to show commitment to the Faculty Purpose statement including the attributes of the innovation, connection, communication, courage, caring, collegiality and ethics.
For tutoring in undergraduate subjects, Casual Academic Teaching Staff must have a bachelor degree with a major in the relevant discipline and enrolled, or completed a relevant postgraduate or honours degree or have completed a formal professional qualification. Demonstration of good communication skills is essential. Teaching Experience in a tertiary institution is highly desirable.
You will work with a subject team that ensures the delivery of identified graduate qualities, technical skills and theoretical knowledge. You will facilitate small group teaching and learning, participate in assessment of students, and contribute to subject evaluation.
Specific Expressions of Interest Sought
School of Accounting and Finance
The School of Accounting and Finance are seeking expressions of interest in the areas of financial accounting, management accounting, accounting information systems, finance and financial planning.
School of Management and Marketing
The School of Management and Marketing are seeking expressions of interest in the areas of marketing, management, human resource management, international business, public relations, supply chain management and business ethics and governance.
School of Economics
The School of Economics are seeking expressions of interest in the area of economics and quantitative economics.
For Locations other than Wollongong
For our locations other than Wollongong, we are seeking expressions of interest in the areas of financial markets, institutions and business finance, quantitative methods, microeconomics and tourism marketing, in addition to the above areas.
Casual teaching appointments are dependant on enrolment numbers. Positions may be offered at locations other than Wollongong such as Bega, Shoalhaven, Bateman’s Bay, Loftus and Moss Vale. Any employment would be on a sessional basis. Please specify the locations you prefer.
